Introduction to Cryptolepis, Nature's Antibiotic Root
An introduction to a powerful antibiotic herb from West Africa called Cryptolepis. Traditionally its roots are used to treat fevers, especially those caused by malaria. Modern studies have shown that it is very effective against malaria. But it is also antibacterial, antifungal and anti-amoebic, and recent research suggests that it is antiviral also. In North America, cryptolepis is used for the treatment of tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease, babesiosis, and others. In this video we discuss the plant and how it grows, how it is used, some of the recent research, and how it is used for Lyme disease and its coinfections.
Originally presented at the 2022 Canadian Herb Conference. Conrad Richter is president of Richters Herbs (www.richters.com).

Wonderful and enlightening information! For me, the info about bitter wormwood's benefits to the liver, gallbladder and digestion were especially pertinent. I've just started learning what wild plants we have in our (new to us) yard that has been left to itself for 10 years. The Plantnet app is just fantastic for identification. After discovering we have quite a few Bitter Wormwood plants, I am so pleased to learn so much about it! I'm saving this to watch again and take notes. Thank you and blessings to all here!

I love that you take great care to harvest and freeze the juice in a way that you do, and so quickly to retain the enzymes. Thank you for your commitment to this product. I especially appreciate that you ship to Hawaii and so quickly. Side note, I've also retained the thick styrofoam shipping packages for reuse, including for transporting my frozen foods when i make a costco run!

I am unsure if Ritchers Herbs has anything-CONNECTION to the previous "The Healing Arc" Kitchener N2H 3B7 Ontario., which was my supplier for "Digeston" Enzymes through my Toronto Health Food Store. Currently, this Health Food Store refuses to carry or even take an order for these Enzymes. I am loyal to this brand. I wish i learn more about how to obtain-order more. Marlene, you at Ritchers Herbs, would you be able to give me any-some information about these Healing Arc Distributors. I would be most grateful.
